Vertical Guru is a full-service digital agency that is an established company with a startup vibe. We work with businesses to achieve their online marketing goals with design, development, and marketing.

We are mainly focused on providing services like paid media (think Facebook & Google Ads), organic media (think Social Media Marketing & Search Engine Optimization), website design & development (anything from a beautiful basic website to a robust, but elegant software).

We are looking for an ambitious and hungry Business Development Representative to join our-growing team who will focus specifically on connecting businesses with Vertical Guru and signing them up as clients. The ideal candidate possesses strong sales skills with experience in bringing in new business and developing long relationships with clients and ample knowledge in the digital marketing space. The ideal candidate strives to exceed all numbers through selling, service implementation and has a passion for all things digital.

This job requires working full-time in the office based in Fort Lee, New Jersey.

What you will be doing

• Working closely with our C-level executives and other team members to achieve new business revenue goals by expanding our client base and maintaining relationships with our existing clients
• Pipeline management and meeting/exceeding new business sales objectives
• Deliver against established KPI’s
• Manage a group of clients by constantly communicating with them, building relationships, and adhering to any needs they may have in the larger scheme of things

Job Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in Business Development, Cold Calling, Inbound Leads, Account Management, Relationship Management or related roles in an online industry with proven experience and success
• Basic understanding of the digital ecosystem of a business and the digital marketing/advertising industry
• Passionate about digital marketing
• Strong negotiation, influencing and persuasion skills, regardless of who the conversation is with
• Superb presentation and communication skills (written and verbal)
• Strong interpersonal skills to manage in-depth relationships

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $34,431.96 - $129,767.35 per year
